At the age of 16, Bob's career began as a musician performing in the clubs of his home town Savannah, Georgia. By the age of 20 he moved to Nashville, where he worked as a studio guitarist. While continuing to do session work and occasional touring with many of the top Country, Rock, Blues and R&B Artist's and Broadway show's like "Chorus Line" and "Annie". He still managed to play with his own group in the local Nashville club scene. Bob later moved to Los Angeles, where his versatility soon landed him in the studio playing on sessions for Marvel Comic's Saturday morning television cartoons and also national commercial's like "Ford", "Chevy", "Toyota", "Levi's", "Budweiser", "Miller Beer", "GTE". His session work includes working with legandary music producers like Teo Macero (produced Miles Davis, Billy Holiday, Robert Palmer), Quincy Jones and many others. During that time he began composing songs and main titles for Columbia Pictures, Sony, Glen Larson at 20th Century Fox, Warner Brothers and MGM. His original songs and scores have been heard on hit shows such as "Sex And The City", "West Wing", "X-Files", "Chris Isaac Show", "Married People", "Fame", "McGyver", "Route 66", "Married With Children", "Sea Hunt", "L. A. Firefighters" and "Moon Over Miami" and feature films like "Twins", "Toy Story", "Chicken Run", "Red Surf", "Keys To Tulsa", "Sister Sister", "Flypaper", AFI Women In Films, "Down The Barrel", "Take The Lead" starring Antonio Banderas, Collier & Co. Hot Persuit, "Dukes Of Hazzard", and "Dream Girls" to name a few. Then Bob was hired to be the weekly composer and music producer on the hit ABC prime-time weekly series "Married People", produced by Columbia Pictures/ Sony Television. With all different musical styles available for use in Films and TV shows, many of the top studios call for songs from his catalog of original works. Bob's success in Hollywood has afforded him the distinction of being one of the most in demand composers, producer and guitarist on the scene today. With a myriad of musical influences to draw from.
